The answer to Haiti Problems. Please read and pass it on.
Someone had asked what should we do as the people in the Diaspora to help Haiti. Read my Response below.
We should organize ourselves by creating one massive organization where all Haitians can register, we should have a headquarter in the U.S.A and satellite offices all over the world where Haitians are in large number and we should pick the best people we can find among us to lead this massive organization.
We should have a powerful website with unlimited email accounts and an app that would allow us easy access of communication. It is unscientifically estimated that there are 4 million Haitians in the Diaspora. I believe there are more if we can bring our kids and our friends aboard to join the fight to curb poverty/injustice in Haiti.
If each one of us would donate an average of $250.00 a year as a contribution toward Haiti Development, that would equal to $1 billion a year as our own assistance to our mother land. If we are really honest, patriotic and if we can create a bylaw that can be enforced, think about what we can do with $1 billion US $ from us?
We can put $300 million toward Agriculture, $250 million toward a new professional military corps of technical personnel to rebuild Haiti, we can put $100 million toward a temporary welfare system for those in the streets, $50 million toward a social security system where each person can be identified based on their #. $50 million toward clean up, and after all, we would have $250 million left for administration and unforeseeable events.
If We can do that every year, that would be a tremendous investment on our part as Haitians and that would change Haiti forever. We can solve our own problems, but we just simply refuse to do what other people think is impossible. All successful people or countries do the unthinkable things. We can too. Stay tune, I am ready to begin the journey. Are you ready to come aboard? Check my website so you would know a little bit more about me.
